Some of my earliest memories in life are of watching my father develop black and white photos in the basement darkroom of my childhood home. I had no idea then, or even for decades after, the beauty that I would find in photography as a creative outlet and a tool for communication.
I'm continually overwhelmed by the beauty and complexity of our natural world and seek to capture even a blink of that in my photography. I care deeply about preserving wild places and untrammeled wilderness, and know that in order to conserve something we must first appreciate it. I hope my images will inspire viewers to appreciate and explore more of our delicate natural world, and maybe even be moved themselves to take action toward protecting a place they love.
As a world traveler and adventurer, I seek to not just document my travels, but instead to capture moments, scenes and people that touch me and deserve a moment of pause to study/observe. The diversity of our world is astounding, and every person and place has something to teach us.
